Quote from CheerioDM :Day One Garry's Incident
You have to pick it up for only $5.
It is one of the best games this year.

Quote from ImudilaSkyline :is it that hard to implement?

Doubt it. Maybe they just don't give a shit about mouse drivers...and who can blame them

I'm sure it will come at some point.

Quote from Kristi : I would love to see those 1.31s there though. I mean, on youtube they didn't really look that fast, I'm still half a second off that though.

It's very easy actually. 16/14 wing and you're there. Took me 5 laps with that wing setting. (and a bit of gear ratio tuning)

Quote from Matrixi :Driving in Sleeping Dogs ruined the whole game for me, Saints Row feels like a sim in comparison.

I felt it was fine..when using a joypad. Ok, the driving is not realistic but i simply don't care in games likes this.

Overall, it's not the greatest game ever, but for less then £4 you get your moneys worth.

Besides... it has a radio station with Opeth and Dream Theatre on it. That makes it worth the money in my book

Sleeping Dogs is well worth picking up at that price.

Quote from CSF :Yeah, but I don't think he's actually a thug in the classic sense, ala Barton. Something goes in him on the pitch for some reason, he probably isn't even a bad person off the pitch. It's a shame, he's probably only second to Ronaldo for me in 2013 calendar year, in terms of footballing performance.

Your not wrong I don't think he's a thug at all. Just a little bit mental By all accounts he's apparently a really nice guy off the pitch.

Oi Storm! That's enough of that!

(Gerrard, despite being a footballing hero of mine and a top, top player , is a bit of a dick )

Quote from CSF : unlike Suarez who actually is probably not a common thug, he just does some ridiculous things on the pitch, like biting twice, racial abuse, nasty deliberate tackles etc...

I cant defend his ridiculous behaviour. He's obviously got a screw loose. (what the **** is biting someone all about? )

The "racism" incident was the biggest stitch up I've ever seen. Read the official report and then tell me he was racist. If that had gone to a proper legal trial it would have been laughed out of court.

Quote from CSF :Not that he intended to make contact and missed, no?

Now you're really clutching at straws. Carry on though if it makes you feel better.

Quote from CSF :Or Gerrard's attempt to elbow his so called friend Gareth Barry.

Oh, you mean the raised arm that made no contact whatsoever?

Nice to see the anti-Liverpool bias is as strong as ever

Quote from Storm_Cloud :
The point of my point is that for Liverpool fans to bleat about refereeing decisions is a bit rich. Mirallas should have been a red card, no problem there.

That was all i was saying in my original post on the subject, so i'm glad we agree.

Nothing else in the game was red card worthy. A few more yellows could have been handed out to both teams if the ref had wanted to.

The standing on feet incidents...well no one can say for sure if Suarez or Barry did it deliberately. Anyone who's played footy has stood on another players feet by accident. Slow motion always makes things look worse than in real time. It's not like they are deliberate looking stamps. Either way, the ref was at least consistent in not penalising either player.

I want a bit of fight, hard tackling and niggles in the derby without everyone getting booked. Its all part of what makes it a great game between us. The Mirallas tackle was a disgrace though. I don't think it's 'bleating' to say the ref got that one totally wrong. He let a lot of stuff go though for both teams which was good to see. No one wants a derby to be ruined by an over sensitive ref. There are some incidents that just have to be punished hard though and the ref bottled it bigtime with that one. Overall he had a good game and let the teams get on with it. You wont find me bleating about any other decisions in the match.

Yeah Storm Cloud, because standing on someones foot is just like a knee height, studs up tackle.

You appear to have missed the gif where Barry stamps on Suarez foot if you're going to play that game

Quote from de Souza :Everton 3-3 Liverpool, what a game!

Oh, I love the Premier League.

Great game, though it aged me 20 years and i want to shoot Joe Allen ...and the ref. How Kevin Mirallas didn't get a red for that tackle on Suarez i'll never know. The ref completely bottled it.

Quote from R34GTR :Thanks Managed to get some laps in once I had worked everything out, good thing I read to set the brake gamma to 1 as I was stomping on the pedal every time and nothing was happening! After a few laps I can do around 2:00 around Imola in the 458 so will keep trying and hopefully can knock a few seconds off

Oh yeah, I forgot about brake gamma. Still, the brakes on the 458 seem non existent compared to some of the cars.

Quote from R34GTR :I gave in and bought it, been too long since I played a good racing game

Anyone have any tips for setting up the game and wheel options, I only have a DFP so nothing spectacular!

For the wheel i would start out with the usual Logitech settings in windows/profiler
100%FFB
900 degrees
everything else on 0
allow game to adjust settings checked

In game I'd start with FFB gain around 60-70 probably (use the pedals app in game to check for clipping and adjust FFB accordingly)
Filter and Damping on 0
The three "effects" sliders I'd start with on 0 and see how you feel after 50 laps or so in each car before you start playing with them.

Could be way off for a DFP, but with a DFGT that feels great to me.

(I ended up with 10% on all the effects sliders. I prefer it 'pure' but just wanted a touch more life to the FFB)

Yup, I'm playing by the two wheels inside the white lines rule. I know you can get away with more, and some people are just taking the piss.

Quote from Mysho :Will definitely predict low 1:51s to be possible

If low 51's are possible I'm giving up sim racing.

54.4 my best so far. Need to do more laps but so many good combos to try i'm not getting enough laps in with a single combo yet.

Quote from tikshow :Well I trying it on Silverstone, but I can do only a .5 sec faster laps with semi-slicks, and I can't really feel the difference in grip, nor in braking, nor at apex, nor the exit.

Too late for me to drive now, but i'll give it a shot around Silverstone tomorrow and see.

At Imola i can definitely brake a little later, and the extra grip is easily noticeable. It's not a massive difference, but you gain enough on every corner for it to add up well over a lap.

Quote from tikshow :Can someone tell me why there is basically 0 difference with the 458 on semi-slick vs street tires?

I couldn't tell you because I'm 2 secs a lap quicker round Imola on Semi-Slicks...

But apart from the extra grip and speed, there's no difference

Blimey, aren't some of you impatient?

We're less than two weeks after the first beta release and the complaining has begun already.

Anyone who thought we'd have multiplayer so soon was being very optimistic. Who knows when they' will surprise us with it. If we get it soon that'll be great, but i wasn't expecting to see it for a couple of months at least. I don't care when it comes as long as it's working well when we do. I dont expect it to be without issues when it first comes either. There's no way they will have been able to test it on a large enough scale yet.

"Hello everybody, Aristotelis from Kunos Simulazioni here.
We haven't released the update yet. The changelog is a leak that we don't really know where it came from and it's not even complete as the actual update has even more content than this changelog describes.

The update is scheduled for tomorrow as promised.
Sorry for this, but we don't know where it comes from. Thank you all for your support."
